Launch of “Drop Out Pro” playing shirt from Rugby Warehouse

August 5th, 2009

Rugby Warehouse has launched its latest incarnation of their very popular playing shirt “Drop Out”.  “Drop Out Pro”, is the answer to the many requests made of them by regional clubs asking for a lighter bespoke but robust shirt. The new shirt is a 200 gram weighted ployester shirt that is fully sublimated with the club badge, sponsors logos, and numbers. The material is impregnated with “Hydrowick”, a chemical that allows water and perspiration to be “wicked” away from the skin.

New Kit & Club Wear for the 09/10 Season

May 20th, 2009

Every-one’s minds must be turning to the age old question “what are we going to do for next year in terms of  playing kit and club kit”, coaches, captains and committee often spend a lot of time pondering this question, rarely with consensus. Team kit and club kit is so often the responsibility of the coach but I ask “. Don’t these guys and girls have enough on their plates given they are all volunteer’s”? Shouldn’t their focus be on the coaching and management of a successful grass roots team?

Rugby Warehouse is the answer, we encourage all clubs to agree a standardised kit, from minis, juniors up to senior players, this enables the club and its members to be recognised as a single unit, giving a uniform identity and pride in the club.

Hinckley Colts win National Champions Cup

May 13th, 2009

The Hinckley Colts recently won the National Champions Cup by beating The Old Albanians with a score of Hinckley 22 – Old Albanians 5.

Taken from the Hinckley Rugby Blog, they say…

What a day! Hinckley’s never say die spirit came to the fore yet again.  The day hadn’t started well with star scrum half Joe Glover having to withdraw prior to the match due to the after effects of an appendix operation two and half weeks previous. Captain Dunne was also in a spot of bother with a chipped bone in his shoulder, however he did take to the field and played an influential game for 50 mins before he had to retire.

Rugby Warehouse are proud sponsors of Hinckley Rugby Football Club and provide all their rugby shirts, rugby kit and rugby equipment.

Evening Kick-offs

February 27th, 2009

After the wide scale debate over the scheduling of the first Friday night Six Nations game this evening, what do you think about evening kick-offs?

There is a specific argument against having them in the Six Nations, do they belong in world cups and national leagues only? Or is the Six Nations running ten years behind the rest of the rugby world?

Jones Quits Sarries

February 10th, 2009

Saracens have announced that Eddie Jones will step down as Director of Rugby at the end of the season.

Jones said: “After careful consideration, I have decided to leave Saracens at the end of the current season. My reasons are entirely personal. My wife and daughter have always given me unqualified support but it is now time for me to put the family needs first. I have greatly enjoyed my time with Saracens extending back to 2006 and I wish the directors, staff and players well in the future.”

He will be replaced by Brendan Venter, with effect from July 1.
