Could Rugby Help Tackle Street Violence?
Tuesday, July 8th, 2008Martin Johnson wants the England squad to show exemplary behaviour as they act as role models for today’s young people in all walks of life, an excellent directive from an outstanding leader.
Do you agree that youth crime and gang violence in some areas could be helped if the youth in troubled areas were introduced to rugby by local clubs, instilling in them some proper values, a purpose and a physical activity to show their abilities to rest of the “gang”? Perhaps it would also help to keep them off the streets where there is little for them to do.
